Cookies Policy

Effective 14 August 2026 · Version 2.0. This Cookies Policy explains what Cookies are, which ones We use on the Website, what they do, and how You can control them. It supplements section 7 of our Privacy Policy and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

This English version is the official text of this Cookies Policy. The French and Spanish versions are provided for convenience only; in the event of any discrepancy, the English version governs.

Cookies usually do not contain information that directly identifies You, but information We hold about You may be linked to information obtained from Cookies. How We handle personal information generally is set out in our Privacy Policy.

We do not store sensitive personal information in Cookies — no mailing addresses, no passwords, and no payment card details.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

Words with capitalized initials have the meanings given below, in the singular or the plural. Terms defined in our Terms and Conditions carry the same meaning here.

  • Company / We / Us / Our: Exhaust IQ, the owner and operator of the Website.
  • Cookies: small files placed on Your computer, mobile device or other device by the Website or by a third party, recording details of Your browsing activity. In this Policy the word also covers similar technologies such as tracking pixels, web beacons and local storage, which work in comparable ways.
  • Personal Information: as defined in our Privacy Policy.
  • Website: Exhaust IQ, accessible at exhaustiq.com.
  • You: the individual or entity accessing or using the Website.

2. How Cookies Work

Cookies are either Session or Persistent:

  • Session Cookies are deleted as soon as You close Your browser.
  • Persistent Cookies stay on Your device until they expire or You delete them.

Cookies are also either first-party, meaning We set them, or third-party, meaning another company sets them through the Website and receives the information they collect. We use both kinds, as set out below.

3. Cookies We Use

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

Set by: Us, and by our payment providers. Type: Session and Persistent.

These Cookies are required for the Website to work. They keep track of the items in Your cart, carry that cart through to checkout, keep the payment process secure, and help prevent fraud. They cannot be switched off, and if You block them the shop will not function.

b) Functionality Cookies

Set by: Us. Type: Persistent.

These Cookies remember preferences You set on the Website, so that You do not have to set them again on Your next visit. They are not required for the Website to work, and blocking them only means the Website will not remember Your preferences.

c) Analytics Cookies

Set by: Google (Google Analytics). Type: Persistent.

These Cookies tell Us how the Website is used — which pages are visited, how long visits last, and where visitors arrive from. We use this to understand what is useful and to improve the Website. Google acts as an independent controller for some of this data under its own privacy policy.

d) Advertising Cookies

Set by: Meta (the Meta Pixel). Type: Persistent.

These Cookies let Us measure how our advertising performs and show relevant ads to You on Facebook, Instagram and other Meta platforms. Meta acts as an independent controller for some of this data under its own privacy policy.

Under California and certain other US state privacy laws, the use of advertising Cookies may be treated as a “sale” or as “sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising”, even though We receive no money for it. See section 8 of our Privacy Policy and section 4 below for how to opt out.

4. Your Choices Regarding Cookies

You can control Cookies in several ways:

  • In Your browser. Every major browser lets You block or delete Cookies, and most let You reject third-party Cookies specifically while leaving first-party Cookies alone. Links are below. Remember that blocking strictly necessary Cookies will stop checkout from working.
  • Google Analytics. You can opt out across all websites using Google’s browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Meta advertising. You can manage how Your activity is used for ads in the ad preferences of Your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • Ask Us directly. Email info@exhaustiq.com and We will exclude You from analytics and advertising tracking.

Browser instructions:

For any other browser, please consult its official documentation.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is no agreed industry standard for how websites should respond to it, and We do not currently respond to it. Where the law requires Us to honour an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, We will do so.

6. Changes to This Cookies Policy

We may update this Policy when the tools We use change. The current version, with its effective date and version number, is always posted on this page. If We add a new category of Cookie, we will update this Policy before or at the time the change takes effect.

7. More Information About Cookies

You can learn more about Cookies and how to manage them at allaboutcookies.org. The privacy policies of the third parties named above are available at policies.google.com/privacy, facebook.com/privacy/policy, stripe.com/privacy and paypal.com/privacy.
